Athlete mental Coaching
Athlete mental Coaching is about training the mind to tune out distractions, build confidence, reduce stress and anxiety and build the focus and stamina for an optimal performance.
As your athlete mental coach, my goal is to provide you with insights of the subconscious mind and create a mental “toolbox” that you can use to help yourself to be the best you can be.
For an athlete it is not only the physical strength and technical training that is required but the mental mastery cultivated by training the subconscious mind to be present. Being present means that they stay unaffected from anything that goes on around them or thoughts coming in the mind. Athletes succeed when they know how to stay mentally at the top of their game!
As the Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller said, “The physical aspect of the sport can only take you so far. The mental aspect has to kick in, especially when you’re talking about the best of the best. In the Olympic Games, everyone is talented. Everyone trains hard. Everyone does the work. What separates the gold medalists from the silver medalists is simply the mental game.”
